Karl Lagerfeld: Resort 2011-12

On May 9, 2011, German designer Karl Lagerfeld debuted his Resort 2011-12 collection.  Of course the beautiful Abbey Lee Kershaw graced the runway. The venue- Hotel du Cap on the French Rivera. In the women's collection Karl brought back the infamous tweed jackets this time making them very tailored and fitted to the body, they were some that were cropped that I fell in love with. For the men, they were sharply dressed and their was one design that really stood out to me- Baptiste Giabiconi wore in a black trench coat with sharp cream pant and a beautiful turban!.. Ahh to die for.

At the end of the show of course Karl Lagerfeld, himself made an appearance in his ever so signature black biker gloves and tailored "Tenue"

In this month's W magazine, the beautiful January Jones grace the cover.  She takes a strong stance on in a black strapless leotard with an exposed zipper and geometric accessories.  She talked about her roles in various movies including the upcoming X-Men.  She talks about the role of Emma Frost aka Diamond girl in X-Men, paparazzi craze, and her immunity to rejection.

Throughout her W spread, Ms. Jones gave passion, diversity and boldness in her pics.

My Style Hodgepodge!!

So recently I've been in search for my "style".  I've always been this classic pieces paired jeans, flats maybe throw in some print kinda gal. Yet, I have been trying to venture out into more "daring" things.  I look to these celebs for their style and try and find pieces and hints that can help me create my own personal style.

WHITNEY PORT

I think Whitney Port has the girlie mixture with simple pieces, Perfected. I love it

KANYE WEST 

Kanye as you known haa been known to stir up the fashion world. With his way of piecing together items, wearing "women's" clothing, and overall doing what he wants, I admire his style and nonchalant attitude for fashion

MIRANDA KERR

Miranda Kerr, besides being one of the most beautiful girls in modeling she has one of the most effortless style in the game.  She may put a lot of work into picking her outfits but I love how it doesn't look like she put much thought into it.

GWEN STEFANI 

Lastly, i think everyone loves Gwen's style.  The hip-hop mixed with feminine pieces such as a heel, or a purse really give her the unique sense of "personal" style

MET BALL 2011 Fashion Report: Hits and Misses

At this year's MET Ball ... fashion walked the red carpet.  I always thought that this event brought out the most unusual and unexpected fashion of the Year.  Some was a hit with the "Fashion Police" and some was just a ticket for disaster.
